Just Peachy Run Races

Race Offerings: 1k Kids, 5k, & 10k
Introduction:
MAD Racing Colorado invites you to work up an appetite for the Palisade Peach Festival by running a fun cross-country style course right before the Palisade Peach Festival opens. There will be a water station half way through this 5k course. Kids, 8 & under, will run a 1k course that takes place part of the end of the 5k/10k courses after most of the 5k and 10k runners finish. This is a great way to cool down and for the kids to watch the start of the race before they actually do it themselves. This is also a great way to pass the time before the awards.
VIRTUAL OPTION:
For those not able to participate in the event this year and still want to support MAD Racing Colorado / celebrate the Peachy spirit, you can now register to join the fun. MUST REGISTER BY AUGUST 1ST for included t-shirt. We are only awarding the top 3 overall each distance this year. However, if cancellation / postponement is required due to the current COVID-19 crisis, we will give you the option to either opt into the virtual race or defer to next year. If the event is cancelled this year and converted to virtual, we will convert the award system to recognize each age group as our standard Peachy format. Once you complete the run, you can upload your times between August 1st and August 15th until 9:00pm. We will mail the medals to the winners afterwards within that week. You will also be given the option to purchase a shirt – we will mail you this shirt. If you register for the regular race with the shirt included and the race is cancelled, we will mail it to you if you convert to virtual race option this year.
Course Details:
5k and 10k runners will start at 7:30am and 7:35am, respectively. Then Kids 1k (8 & under) will start the race at 9:00 when most of the runners have completed their run 9:00am. The 10k will complete the 5k loop twice. All courses consist 40% paved sidewalk and 60% dirt trails/paths on a flat terrain. This means the entire family has the opportunity to experience their preferred runs and support each other!

- Pick up your race number & PPF wristbands to enter the Palisade Peach Fest’s Friday night concert!

- 6:30am – 7:00am: Registration / Packet Pickup – $10 CASH Late Fee!

Virtual: Top 3 each distance, except for Kids – Virtual Kids is a fun run activity and you will be eligible for best hashtagged photo.
Age Group Awarding Exception: If an age group is smaller than desired, it shall be combined with an age group either up or down in age depending on # available each group.

REFUND / CHANGES / TRANSFER / CANCELLATION POLICY
REFUNDS: Refunds will only be issued in the event the race is cancelled. If the race is cancelled more than 30 days before the race, all entrants will receive a full refund of their entry fee. Refunds for events cancelled fewer than 30 days before the race may be less than the full entry fee paid, or may include an entry credit as part of the refund. Transfers of entry to another MAD Racing event or another athlete will be allowed as listed below. Online processing fees cannot be refunded.
TRANSFER ENTRY TO ANOTHER EVENT: You may request a cancellation of your entry and receive a redemption code for 75 percent your entry fee. You may use this redemption code toward your entry into another MAD Racing event. Your cancellation request must come no later than 30 days before the event, or before the event sells out, whichever comes first. You will have one year from the race date to redeem your credit. Online processing fees, charitable donations, license fees, or other items paid for during the registration process will be forfeited. Online processing fees may apply to the balance due with the transfer.
SERIES ENTRIES: If you have entered a series, you may not transfer individual series events to another athlete. Please contact us with questions regarding transfers of a portion of your series entry.
TRANSFER ENTRY TO ANOTHER ATHLETE / CHANGE CATEGORIES: You may transfer your entry to another athlete or change your category until 10 days before the event for a $20 fee. No transfers between athletes will be allowed in the final 9 days before the event. All transfers of online entries must be processed online before the transfer deadline. Items the original entrant may have paid for, such as license fees, donations, etc. will not be transferred. Depending on the date of the transfer, option to select a new shirt size may not be available. Online processing fees may apply to the balance due with the transfer.

UNAUTHORIZED TRANSFER OF YOUR ENTRY FEE will result in disqualification/removal from the event, and restrictions for all parties involved from participating in future MAD Racing and affiliated sanctioned events.
EVENT MODIFICATIONS: We reserve the right to alter or shorten the course for safety reasons including weather or other unforeseen circumstances. No refunds will be issued for alterations of the planned route, including the cancellation of a portion of the event (for example, cancellation of the swim in the event of lightning), or if the race is halted mid-race by weather or other circumstances.
EVENT CANCELLED BY RACE DIRECTOR: Refunds will only be issued in the event the race is cancelled by the Race Director for personal reasons (outside of weather, uncontrollable factors such as tornadoes, pandemics, etc). If the race is cancelled more than 30 days before the race, all entrants will receive a full refund of their entry fee.
